Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about foot reflexology.

Foot reflexology is a therapeutic technique based on the idea that specific points on the feet correspond to different areas of the body. Applying focused pressure to these points is believed to relieve tension and promote relaxation well beyond just the feet themselves.

It’s more common than you’d think, and our therapists are used to it. Firm, steady pressure (which is what reflexology actually uses) feels very different from a light tickling touch, and most ticklish clients say it wasn’t an issue once the session started. Let your therapist know beforehand and they’ll adjust.

It depends on the specifics, so please tell us before booking. Diabetes with nerve damage (neuropathy), blood clot history, or circulatory conditions may need a modified approach, or in some cases we’d recommend a different service instead — just call us and we’ll help you figure out what’s right.

Some pressure points are best avoided during pregnancy, so please let us know when booking. We can adjust your session safely or suggest a better-suited option.

Research on foot reflexology points to real, measurable benefits — reduced pain, better sleep, less fatigue, and lower stress, largely through improved circulation and a calmer nervous system. It’s a genuine therapeutic technique, not just pampering.

No — reflexology is therapeutic, not cosmetic. There’s no polish, filing, or nail work involved. It’s entirely about pressure-point technique for relaxation and relief.
